Jamie Bauer
Director of Education – Mesa Encore Theatre

Jamie received her B.A. in Theatre from Metropolitan State University of Denver. In 2010, while working towards her degree, Jamie was granted an internship with Kaiser Permanente’s Arts Integrated Resources as a touring actor. She continued her work with KP until 2014 when she located back to Phoenix. During her time in Denver, Jamie worked closely with The Aurora Fox Performing Arts Center and City of Aurora teaching and developing a variety of classes and workshops. Much of her work with the Aurora Fox centered around outreach and cross curriculum programming. Additional experiences include Vision Box Actors Studio and Denver Schools of Science and Technology.

Locally, Jamie is on staff as a teaching artist and director with Studio 3 Performing Arts Academy in Gilbert. She has also worked with Valley Youth Theatre and Southwest Shakespeare Company co-teaching their summer teen conservatory. Jamie’s directing work with S3 has earned a variety of nominations and recognition with both National Youth Arts and Arizona Zonis. Her directing credits with S3 include Treasure Island, Shrek Jr. and Radium Girls.

Jamie has appeared on stage with Southwest Shakespeare Company in The Merry Wives of Windsor (Mistress Quickly) and Twelfth Night (Maria). Most recently, she was seen in Stray Cat Theatre’s production of Native Son as Mrs. Dalton. Jamie continues her professional studies with The MEGAW Actors Studio in Scottsdale.
